Monday, December 29, 2014

(Virginia Beach, VA) - Get ready to “dance your shoes off” at Twelfth Night on Jan. 6, 2015 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Francis Land House, 3131 Virginia Beach Blvd.  Join the Land family and their guests to celebrate the traditional end of the holiday season in colonial Virginia at Twelfth Night.

Costumed interpreters portray the Lands as they enjoy 18th-century festivities to mark the “Twelfth Night” of Christmas, or Christian feast of the Epiphany. Visitors may participate in Twelfth Night traditions that include dancing with the Williamsburg Heritage Dance Ensemble, sampling authentic Twelfth Night cake, and burning holiday greens for good luck.  Music of the era will be provided by the Itinerant Band.

Tickets are available for $8.50 per person exclusively at the Francis Land House. Tickets are timed in 20-minute intervals beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Guests are invited to enjoy music and refreshments following the structured segment of the program.  Hurry!  Some time slots have already sold out.  Please call (757) 385-5100 for more information.
