​Free Photo Voter ID in Virginia Beach

Starting Nov. 4, 2014, all Virginia voters need to present a photo ID when they vote either in-person absentee or at the polls on Election Day. Acceptable IDs include:

  • Valid Virginia Driver’s License
  • DMV–issued photo identification card
  • Valid United States Passport
  • Valid Employee photo identification card
  • Military ID
  • Other government–issued photo identification card
  • Valid student photo ID card issued by an institution of higher education or public high school located in Virginia
  • Tribal enrollment or other tribal ID issued by a tribe recognized in Virginia

Voters who don’t have any of the above may apply for a free Photo Voter ID at the following locations in Virginia Beach.
