Section of Cape Henry Trail Closed Due to Maintenance Beginning October 20

​(Virginia Beach, VA) – Overhead line maintenance will be conducted by Dominion Power that will affect access to Cape Henry Trail, located in the northern section of Virginia Beach which runs through First Landing State Park. The location of the closure is from Kleen Street west towards Jade Street along Cape Henry Trail. Trail closure is expected to last through October 26.

Cape Henry Trail is six miles through False Cape State Park and extends beyond the northern border. The trail is part of Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation’s vast city park system of 275 parks and park facilities. As a valuable resource, the Cape Henry Trail offers the opportunity for active outdoor recreational uses, such as hiking and biking, in order to meet Virginia Beach citizens’ pursuit of a healthy lifestyle.
