Satellite Absentee Voting Information for the Nov. 4 General and Special Elections

​If you will be away from Virginia Beach on Election Day or are unable to go to the polls, you can vote by absentee ballot.

Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 5 p.m. is the last day to submit a Virginia Absentee Ballot Application to have an absentee ballot mailed to you. Saturday, Nov. 1 is the last day for absentee voting in person.

In person absentee voting is currently available at the Voter Registrar’s Office:


Municipal Center – Building 14

Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 25, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 1, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Voting at two new satellite absentee voting locations begins Monday, Oct. 20.

Great Neck Recreation Center

Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 25, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Effective for the Nov. 4 General and Special Elections, satellite absentee voting has moved from the Courthouse Fire Station and the two DMV locations in Virginia Beach to Great Neck Recreation Center and Williams Farm Recreation Center.
