(Virginia Beach, VA) - Access to the library and recreation center just got easier! Princess Anne Area Library and Princess Anne Recreation Center are celebrating the much anticipated opening of Nimmo Parkway with free admission, free activities and free sample programs. 

Be sure to visit Princess Anne Area Library to receive a free, gently-used book, compliments of the Friends of the Virginia Beach Public Library while supplies last.

Events include:

Badminton This fast-paced racquet sport combines competition and strategy. It’s surprisingly challenging! Princess Anne Recreation Center Gym

Zumba® is a high intensity workout which fuses Latin and International rhythms to get hearts pumping and feet moving. It is “exercise in disguise.” No dance experience needed! Age 14 & up. Princess Anne Recreation Center Gym

H.I.I.T. It Hard This high intensity interval training fitness class will work a body to its capacity. Various drills are performed to enhance muscular and cardiovascular strength. Age 14 & up. Princess Anne Recreation Center Group Fitness Studio

Kids’ Corner Bounce, bounce, bounce in our inflatables, enjoy popcorn or sno cones, and play carnival style games. All ages welcome. In the field between Princess Anne Area Library and Princess Anne Recreation Center.

Nimmo Parkway Opening Party Every celebration needs cake, ice cream and decorations! Stop by, get your fill, and learn how the recreation center staff host parties for birthdays and other occasions. Princess Anne Recreation Center Gym

Float A Rama & Open Swim Hop on the oversized submarine or polar bear, or simply enjoy free time in the swimming pool. All ages; those under age 9 must be accompanied in the water by an adult. Princess Anne Recreation Center Pool
