Wonderful Wednesdays at the Francis Land House

Wonderful Wednesdays continue through August at the Francis Land House. Each Wednesday from 10 to 11:30 a.m., visitors will learn about a different aspect of early American life and participate in a hands-on activity. Folk musician Marsha Wallace will teach a song related to the week’s theme. 

The fee for Wonderful Wednesdays is $3 per person for visitors ages 5 and older. Craft materials and a brief tour of the historic home are included.


The schedule for Wonderful Wednesdays in August is:

·         Aug. 6 – Wool, Cotton and Plastic: The Fabrics of Our Times

·         Aug. 13 – In a Pinch: Pottery in Early America

·         Aug. 20 – Quench Your Thirst

·         Aug. 27 – The Marvels of Marble: Making Marbleized Paper
