New Milestone for the Virginia Beach Project Lifesaver Program

Friday, July 26, 2013

This week the Virginia Beach Project Lifesaver Program reached a new milestone by signing up its 300th active client.  For some time, the Virginia Beach Project Lifesaver program has been the largest of its kind in the world.  With the newest wave of clients its numbers are far above all other Project Lifesaver jurisdictions.

The program has thrived in the City of Virginia Beach due to the strong levels of support from city leaders, police leadership, the dedicated police officers, fire fighters and the volunteer civilian board of directors.

Chief Jim Cervera says, “The success rate of finding its clients is the direct result of the officer’s unselfish efforts and commitment to carrying out the mission statement, ‘Bringing Loved Ones Home’.  It is that caliber of dedication that allows Project Lifesaver to remain the ‘gold standard’ in Search and Rescue programs throughout the world. As the agency with the largest Project Lifesaver client base, we know the program works, and works well.”
