Cataldo Builders, a commercial and residential builder headquartered in Virginia Beach, has announced plans to open a new office/warehouse at 1632 Virginia Beach Blvd. in the Hilltop section of Virginia Beach. The 6,000-square-foot office/warehouse will be complete in the fall and is more than two times the size of the company’s current location.

The company, formerly Beach Kitchen and Bath Direct, Inc., was founded in 2006. They will move from the Cataldo Building on the corner of Virginia Beach Boulevard and Village Road. The new facility will showcase its quality construction capabilities as evidenced in the exterior materials and interior build-out. An outdoor living area is planned that includes a pool, pergola, outdoor kitchen and landscaping.

Anthony R. Cataldo II, president of Cataldo Builders, states the capital investment in the land and building is $1,560,000.

The Virginia Beach Economic Development Authority has approved an Economic Development Investment Program grant in the amount of $30,000 based on the company’s investment.

“Cataldo Builders’ growth aligns with the department’s goal to recruit and retain office headquarters and to stimulate growth in the Hilltop Strategic Growth Area,” said Warren Harris, director of Virginia Beach Economic Development. “Cataldo has been a strong advocate of our efforts in the YesOceana program to promote compatible business development in areas surrounding Naval Air Station Oceana. Cataldo Builders participated in that program, and because of its success, will continue to grow in the new location.”
