Celebrate Independence Day with Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation’s Annual July 4th Celebration!

4 pm – 10 pm, Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Mount Trashmore Park | Fireworks begin at 9:30 pm - free admission and open to the public

Celebrate with your family and friends at Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation’s Annual July 4th Celebration at Mount Trashmore Park. This day of family fun is open to the public and will take place on Thursday, July 4, 2013, from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm at Mount Trashmore Park in Virginia Beach. Fireworks begin at 9:30 pm. Admission and limited onsite parking is $5.


Schedule of Events:

Main Stage

4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Local music band User Friendly kicks off the Independence Day celebration with their classic and modern rock covers plus heartfelt original songs.

7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

East coast music sensation Strictly Bizzness is a high energy, versatile group of entertainers that performs a variety of musical styles, including rock, classic rock & roll, Motown, oldies and everyone’s favorite Top 40 dance music.



4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free children’s activities and games, including inflatables, will be available. The Virginia Freemasons will be making child ID cards at no cost.



9:30 pm

Zambelli, the “First Family of Fireworks” will amaze the crowd with their spectacular fireworks show.


Delicious Foods Available for Purchase

Sink your teeth into some of the best foods, including: hot dogs, hamburgers, BBQ sandwiches, chicken pitas, Italian sausages and more! Sodas, bottled water, lemonade and sno-cones will also be available.


Road Closure

When parking lots at Mount Trashmore Park are full, Edwin Drive between Independence Boulevard and South Boulevard may close. Expect delays.
