Envision Virginia Beach 2040 Committee to Meet Friday, July 22

CEO of Southern Institute of Research to Discuss Trends

Envision Virginia Beach 2040, a citizens group appointed by the City Council, will meet Friday, July 22, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Westin Virginia Beach Town Center.

 

John W. Martin, chief executive officer of the Southern Institute of Research and the Boomer Project, will be speak on “Communities of the Future: Major Trends and Key Drivers Shaping How and Where We Will Live, Play and Work.” Martin will discuss national and local trends, such as population, transportation and health care, with an emphasis on Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads. Break-out sessions will allow groups to discuss one or two trends and their potential impact on Virginia Beach.
