Northampton Boulevard Tree Removal May Cause Traffic Delays, February 4 - 22

Thursday, January 24, 2013

Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation has announced partial lane closures and potential traffic delays for up to three weeks in February on westbound Northampton Boulevard between Jack Frost Road and the Independence Boulevard interchange. The lane closures will begin on Monday, February 4 from 9:00 am  to 3:00 pm on weekdays and from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm on weekends. One westbound lane will be closed for most of this time, and closure of two of the three westbound lanes will only be done very early on weekends.

Due to concerns for public safety, the City of Virginia Beach and Virginia Dominion Power will be working together to remove hazardous trees and the resulting debris with minimal inconvenience to motorists. This work schedule will be weather permitting.
