Sandler Center Art Gallery Hosts "Tidewater Treasures" by Patricia DeHart

​Virginia Beach, VA —The Sandler Center for the Performing Arts is proud to announce that it will host Patricia DeHarts’ exhibit, “Tidewater Treasures” beginning on April 1.  

Ms. DeHart enjoys painting various aspects of nature and the coastal Virginia area she calls home. Although she has taken several art courses, she is mostly a self-taught artist. Ms. DeHart has loved painting her whole life and has been a full-time artist for 10 years. She has won many awards for her colorful oil paintings of the coastal animals and areas of Virginia and she is also in demand for her portraits of children and pets.

The “Tidewater Treasures” exhibit will be on view in the second and third floor lobbies from April 1 to May 12 during the Sandler Center’s normal operating hours: Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or during any performance at the Sandler Center. There will be a free artist reception held at the Sandler Center on April 1 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.  The Art Gallery is on the second and third floors in the common areas of the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts.

The role of the Office of Cultural Affairs is to develop the vision and direction of the cultural arts in Virginia Beach, assist and direct the Virginia Beach Arts and Humanities Commission, coordinate the city’s Public Art Program, provide contract management for the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts, provide administrative leadership to the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts’ 501(c)3 Foundation and serve as staff liaison to local arts and humanities organizations.
