Virginia Beach Named Among Top Destinations for July 4th Celebrations

Online reservations leader places city on “Top 50” list

(Virginia Beach, Va., June 25, 2014) – Following its designation as one of this year’s top U.S. summer travel destinations, Virginia Beach has emerged on yet another significant list. Based on published-price advance hotel bookings in the United States and Canada, Priceline.com ranked Virginia Beach an impressive #15 on their list of “Top 50 Destinations for July 4th 2014.”  Priceline.com is a world leader in online accommodation reservations who also ranked Virginia Beach fifth on their list of 2014 “Top 10 Summer Beach Destinations.”

 

Options for celebrating the July 4th holiday across Virginia Beach include many free activities and events. At the Oceanfront, the annual Stars & Stripes Explosion will showcase musical tributes to the Motown era and rock legends Elton John, Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen.
