Virginia Beach History Museums Raise It Up For Flag Day!

At 4 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at the Adam Thoroughgood House, the Virginia Beach History Museums, along with hundreds of other cultural organizations around the country, will join the Smithsonian National Museum of American History for Raise it Up! Anthem for America. Visitors will sing the National Anthem in honor of the 200th anniversary of the Star-Spangled Banner.

 

Flag Day festivities will continue at the Francis Land House at 5 p.m. with a presentation by the Francis Land House Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

 

About the Virginia Beach History Museums:

The Virginia Beach History Museums include the Francis Land House, Adam Thoroughgood House, Lynnhaven House and Princess Anne County Training School/Union Kempsville High School Museum. They are owned and operated by the City of Virginia Beach Department of Museums, which provides stewardship of the city’s historic resources and programs to educate the community about local history.
