Friday, June 06, 2014

School is out and summer is here! Send off the last day of school with a blast and head over to Williams Farm Park (5269 Learning Circle) on Friday, June 13, 2014, for the first evening of Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation’s Summer Movie Night Series featuring the Disney Pixar film, “Toy Story” (rated G, 81 minutes).

Join the adventures of Buzz Lightyear and Woody the Cowboy in this 1995 computer-animated film about what toys do when humans aren’t around. Activities take place prior to the movie beginning at 7:00 pm, including a Toy Drive – bring a clean, gently used toy to Movie Night which will be donated to Hope House Foundation and Hope Haven Children’s Home. The first 250 kids to bring a toy donation will receive a brand new Disney-themed toy in exchange.

Movie begins at sunset. Be sure to check out local eats from Keep it Poppin’ Kettle Corn and Filipino food truck, Bobby-Q! This event is brought to you by Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation and Checkered Flag Volkswagen.
