Public Works to Make Traffic Control Changes on Laskin Road

Thursday, May 01, 2014

On Sunday, May 4, 2014, Public Works -Traffic Operations will be modifying traffic control on Laskin Road at the Baltic Avenue/Holly Road and Arctic Avenue intersections.

Stop signs will be added on the Baltic Avenue/Holly Road and Arctic Avenue approaches to these intersections, making them both four-way stop intersections.

All work is weather permitting.

Traffic Engineering has studied these intersections since the Laskin Road corridor reopened in September 2013.  These changes are being made based on traffic volumes on the roadways, vehicular and pedestrian safety concerns and driver expectations.  The new stop signs will have the solar powered LED lights that currently exist on the stop signs on Laskin Road at these two intersections.
