Getting fit and staying healthy is more fun than ever with Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation’s group fitness classes. The newest class added to the lineup is LesMills™ CXWORX™, a 30-minute core workout. Try a CXWORX™ class, without cost or membership, at these initial CXWORX™ sessions:

Featuring integrated training techniques and resistance tubing for dynamic movements, CXWORX™ hones in on the torso and sling muscles that connect the upper body to the lower body. It’s ideal for tightening the abdominals and glutes, while also improving functional strength and assisting in injury prevention. It is appropriate for all ages and fitness levels.

There’s no need to register in advance for these free CXWORX™ sessions. A Virginia Beach Recreation Center membership is not required, either. Just dress for a workout, show up with a water bottle, and put forth your best effort.

Want to add variety to your fitness regime? Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation’s fitness team can help! More than 120 group fitness classes are scheduled each week at Virginia Beach Recreation Centers, including bootcamp, BODYPUMP™, step, yoga, pilates, kickboxing, kettlebells, and water fitness classes. Classes are scheduled throughout the day, with early morning offering, classes in the afternoon and evenings, and classes on the weekends. Personal training and small group training is also available.

Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation’s group fitness classes are for those age 14 and up (those age 12 and 13 can participate with an accompanying adult). Each recreation center has limited equipment and space; participation is on a first come, first served basis.
