Beach Police Crime Prevention Unit to Host Airsoft Awareness and Safety Event

Monday, April 07, 2014

The Virginia Beach Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) will be holding an Airsoft Awareness and Safety Seminar at the Virginia Beach Law Enforcement Training Academy (LETA) on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Due to an increase in the popularity and availability of airsoft guns, the department wants to have an open discussion and provide the public with an awareness regarding the safety of these guns. This seminar is for those individuals who have no previous knowledge of these types of guns and for those people who regularly use them. Awareness, knowledge and safety of airsoft types of guns will be the focus of the event. There will be some hands on activities and displays for attendees. The seminar is open to the public, but is specifically designed to educate parents on how to help their children be more responsible when involved with airsoft.

Please consider attending this fast paced evening. There are four components to the program with two break-out sessions.

Light refreshments will be served from 5:30 to 6 p.m.
