Bank on Virginia Beach is a partnership of participating banks, credit unions, community organizations, and the City of Virginia Beach.  The program is designed to connect unbanked and under-banked families to free or low-cost bank accounts and help them take steps toward financial freedom.  Since launching in 2012, 676 people have enrolled in classes. Bank On is part of the Mayor’s Action Challenge for Financially Fit Families, an initiative led by the Department of Human Services.
