Friday, March 07, 2014

The disc golf course at Bayville Farms Park located at 4132 First Court Road will be closed beginning on Wednesday, March 12 for renovations. This revamp includes reconfiguration of the disc golf course from 20 holes down to 18 holes, along with the installation of new tee pads at each hole to improve player safety. Work completion is anticipated by the end of the week, weather permitting.

The disc golf course at Bayville Farms Park is the first of its kind in Virginia Beach; the second one is featured at Munden Point Park located at 2001 Pelfey Lane. Bayville Farms Park is a 68-acre park established in 1978 through the cooperative efforts of the City of Virginia Beach, the National Park Service, and Virginia's Department of Conservation and Recreation. It is situated off Shore Drive in the northwest portion of Virginia Beach.
