Genealogist to Explore Last Wills and Testaments March 19 at Land House

Learn to use information from wills to expand your family tree. The Virginia Beach Historic Houses will host the program “Using Wills for Family Research” with genealogist Donald W. Moore on Wednesday, March 19, at 7 p.m. at the Francis Land House, 3131 Virginia Beach Boulevard. Admission is free.


Moore specializes in the 17th-, 18th- and 19th-century records of the extinct Virginia counties of Lower Norfolk (1637-1691), Norfolk (1691-1963) and Princess Anne (1691-1963), and the existing cities of Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Virginia Beach. He is a board-certified genealogist and a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists.
