Virginia Beach Project Homeless Connect Scheduled on Jan. 24

Event Offers Resources and Services for Families and Individuals Experiencing Homelessness

Families and individuals experiencing homelessness will be able to access a variety of supportive services and resources during Project Homeless Connect on Thursday, Jan. 24.The event will be held from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Virginia Beach United Methodist Church, 212 19th St.


The city is cosponsoring Project Homeless Connect with BEACH (Bringing an End to All City Homelessness), a partnership of city, nonprofit and faith-based organizations. The event will feature one-stop access to services and resources designed to assist persons in moving closer to ending their homelessness. These include employment agencies, Social Security assistance, social services, veterans’ services, and other related resources. Participants may also receive donated services from local businesses and organizations such as medical screenings, dental exams and haircuts. Hygiene kits donated by faith-based organizations and the community will also be distributed.
