“Water Pirates” to Teach Students How to Use Water Wisely

Monday, October 08, 2012

Over the next few weeks, the National Theatre for Children’s production of the Water Pirates of Neverland will entertain thousands of Virginia Beach elementary school students while educating them about the importance of using water wisely.

Each year, in partnership with Virginia Beach Public Utilities, the Water Pirates of Neverland bring their interactive, high-energy, water-savvy production to Virginia Beach public and private schools. During each 30-minute performance, students are introduced to captivating characters who show them simple ways to save water at home, as well as ways to protect our sanitary sewer systems.

Performances are slated to run from Oct. 15 through Nov. 2. For more information and a complete performance schedule, visit www.vbgov.com/pu-kids/ntc  or contact Tiffany Wright with Virginia Beach Public Utilities at (757) 385-4948.
