How Do I Vote an Early/Absentee Ballot (In Person)?

Early in-person (formerly called aAbsentee voting in-person) is available at Virginia Beach Voter Registration & Elections beginning 45 days before and ending on the Saturday preceding all General and Primary Elections.

Early in-person voting no longer requires voters to complete an application prior to casting their ballot. The experience will be more similar to voting at your polling location on election day. Once you are checked in you will then receive your paper ballot to mark and be directed to the voting unit where your ballot will be scanned and tabulated. The entire process only takes a few minutes.

Please check the Early/Absentee Voting and Election Schedule for starting and ending dates.
