There may be someone out there that can't wait to say "Hello" to that same item.

Proper Placement of Items

For safe and efficient collection of bulky items please adhere to the following guidelines:

    • Place bulk items at curb no later than 7 a.m. on garbage day (or) no earlier than 5 p.m. the day before.
    • Bulky items must be placed together and placed three (3) feet away from fixed objects (fence, mailboxes, utility poles, cars, fire hydrants, carts, etc.) This allows the truck's claw to easily grab all items at once.
    • Do not place items under overhead wires or low hanging limbs. Place items at curb on a hard level surface as equipment can damage grass and softer areas. Do not block roadways or sidewalks.
    • We will not collect building materials, construction debris, nor hazardous waste. Visit www.vbgov.com/wastemgt for disposal options.
    • It is the responsibility of the resident to clean up any small debris left after collection. Residents can bag this debris and place it in their garbage cart.
