At this time, Public Utilities is not disconnecting water service due to nonpayment. To avoid water service termination once service turn-offs for nonpayment are resumed, please continue to make regular payments on your account.
Due to impacts of the Coronavirus, we are not accepting walk-in customers and our call center (385-4631) is only accepting the below calls until further notice. If all of our customer service representatives are assisting other customers when you call, you will hear a message telling you to hang up and try again.
Calls currently accepted at 385-4631 include:
- Water turn-on requests for new service
- Water turn-off requests for moving out
- No water complaints
- Low water pressure complaints
- Burst pipes or other emergency turn-offs
- Meter leaks
- Hazardous meter lids
Routine requests can be submitted online at www.vbgov.com/puonlineservices or by email at vbwater@vbgov.com and will be processed as soon as possible. **When submitting a request online, be sure to include your account number, address, full name and phone number associated with the account.**
Appointments for processing utility connection fees (for new and renovated properties connecting to city water/sewer for the first time) will now be exclusively by telephone. Utility connection fee payments can be mailed in or placed in the drop box infront of our new Utility Connection Office at 2875 Sabre Street, Suite 250.

We do not offer extensions on bills. However, accounts will not be considered delinquent and eligible for water service disconnection until 90 days past the bill date. Please note if payment is not received within 75 days past the bill date, a $1.50 late fee will be applied.
If full payment of the delinquent balance is not made within 90 days past the bill date, a $20 delinquent fee will be assessed and the account will be eligible for water service disconnection.
