Memorials

This site is created in honor of our fallen fellow officers and department members who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the performance of their duty. May we always remember them and their deeds, lest their dedication and efforts were in vain.

On May 16, 2003, former Chief Jacocks unveiled the Virginia Beach Police Department’s Wall of Honor - a permanent memorial to all Department members who have been killed in the line of duty. This tribute, dedicated to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, is located in the lobby of the Virginia Beach Law Enforcement Training Academy, 411 Integrity Way, in Virginia Beach.

All too often, we fail to take time out of our busy schedules to recognize the commitment to service and dedication to duty of those employees deserving of such recognition. Please take this opportunity to do just that by visiting the individual memorials web pages and acknowledging the ultimate sacrifices each of our fallen, fellow officers and department members have made in the performance of their duty.
