Planning Commission Design Awards Program

The purpose of the Planning Commission Design Awards program is to recognize development projects that demonstrate innovative design solutions, outstanding quality, and enhancement of the built and natural environment. The annual Planning Commission Design Awards Program is open to design professionals, property owners, developers, contractors, and others who have designed or implemented new development or redevelopment projects located in the City of Virginia Beach. Projects must be 100% complete or, if phased, the first phase must be complete. Projects completed prior to November 1, 2013 cannot be nominated.  The nomination period is open from November 1, 2018 – January 10, 2019.  For more information and to access the nomination form, see the program and nomination form below.
