The Virginia Beach Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at 12:00 pm in the City Council Chamber of the City Hall Building, Virginia Beach, Virginia.  A briefing session will be held at 9:00 a.m. in the Council Chamber, City Hall.  Citizens are encouraged to submit comments to the Planning Commission prior to the public hearing via email to wlandfair@vbgov.com or via United States Postal Service to Bill Landfair, 2875 Sabre Street, Suite 500, Virginia Beach, VA 23452.

There will be limited seating in Council Chambers for citizens who wish to attend the meeting in person. For those citizens who wish to speak in person at the public hearing please call (757) 385-4621 to register.

The City continues to operate under modified conditions and the office is open to the public by appointment only.  Most of our employees are working remotely, but are available via phone or email. Those without access to the internet may drop off Planning Commission applications at 2875 Sabre Street, Suite 500, placing the entire submittal package including application, plans, disclosure statement and check (payable to the Virginia Beach City Treasurer) in a sealed envelope in the City Treasurer's Drop Box located outside of the building in front of the lobby. Address the envelope to Ms. Carol Dozier, Department of Planning & Community Development.  Application fees are noted in the instructions attached to each application. Requests for a paper copy of an application can be made using the contact information below. Applicants will be notified by phone or email to confirm receipt and processing of all applications, regardless of submittal method.
