The Princess Anne Athletic Complex is located in the heart of Princess Anne Commons across the street from the Virginia Beach Sportsplex and Veteran's United Home Loans Amphitheater. The complex includes eight lighted tournament-quality softball fields and eight multi-purpose playing fields (which allow for football, soccer, etc.), four of which are lighted synthetic and four are Hybrid Bermuda.

Stumpy Lake Golf Course

Course: A Robert Trent Jones, par 72 golf course which was carved out of woodland and incorporates plenty of natural water hazards and well placed bunkers across its 6,846 yards. The fairways on this course are tree lined and the greens are large. A driving range with both grass and mats is on site, as well as a practice bunker, a chipping area, and a putting green.

Virginia Beach National Golf Club

Additional Facilities

USA Field Hockey Regional Training Center

Owned by the City of Virginia Beach and leased to Hometown Sports Management, the USA Field Hockey Regional Training Center features two artificial turf fields, lighting, locker rooms, parking, an equipment room, and concession stand.

Hampton Roads Soccer Complex

Owned by the City of Virginia Beach and leased to the Hampton Roads Soccer Council, the Hampton Roads Soccer Complex consists of 21 soccer fields including seven small-sided fields, 12 full-size grass fields, and two full-size synthetic turf fields. The complex also includes restrooms, concessions, and picnic shelters.

Owl Creek Pickleball Center

State of the art facility featuring 40+ new dedicated pickleball courts, 14 acres that include 3 court areas with abundant shade, instructors, pro-shop, snack bar, locker rooms, machine rentals, etc.

Princess Anne Athletic Complex

Owned and operated by the City of Virginia Beach, the Princess Anne Athletic Complex includes eight lighted tournament-quality softball fields and eight multi-purpose playing fields (which allow for football, soccer, etc.), four of which are lighted synthetic fields.

Virginia Beach Field House

Privately owned and operated, the Virginia Beach Field House has six turf fields, eight regulation volleyball courts, four basketball courts, multiple party rooms, an arcade, an indoor Fun Zone and dining facility. The land is leased from the City of Virginia Beach.

Virginia Beach Sportsplex

Owned by the City of Virginia Beach and leased to Hometown Sports Management, the Virginia Beach Sportsplex is comprised of the Sportsplex Stadium, Sportsplex Field Hockey National Training Center, Sportsplex Criterium, and Sportsplex Athletic Fields.

Before & After School Closures

Our before and after school programs operate concurrently with the Virginia Beach City Public Schools, School-Year operating calendar. If schools are closed, the before and after school programs are also closed.

On adjusted dismissal days, our after-school programs begin once the students are released from school, without any additional cost to you.
We offer all-day break camps at select recreation center locations for an adidtional fee for most days when schools are closed and we are open. Please refer to the programs payment schedule for a complete listing of closure dates.
When recreation centers are closed for maintenance, the recreation center after-school programs will occur at your child's home school site for that week. Please refer to the programs payment scheudle for these dates.

Our programs may be forced to close due to severe weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Parents will be notified to pick up their child(ren) within the hour if the need arises due to inclement weather and/or facility closure. Discuss with your child the alternative arrangements you may have chosen for them. Inclement weather closings are announced on local radio stations and TV stations.
