Youth Basketball

Youth Basketball is offered in the winter for boys (12U, 14U, 16U, 18U) and girls (12U, 16U). Most recreation associations also offer 'Farm Leagues' for players under age 10.
COVID-19 Response:  Winter 2020/21 Youth Basketball League canceled. After much research, careful consideration, and discussion, we have made the difficult decision that we will not be offering winter basketball leagues this year.

This decision is based on the continued COVID-19 public health threat, the ability to ensure the leagues do not contribute to the spread of the virus, and guidance received from the Virginia Department of Health.

We understand this is disappointing, but we remain committed to returning to sports in the safest manner possible when it is appropriate to do so. We welcome small groups to play at our outdoor public courts. For locations, use the free VBParkFinder app. Additionally, the recreation centers will soon be offering online reservations for family basketball time in the gymnasiums.
