38th Annual Tidewater Championship Softball Tournament

The 38th Annual Tidewater Championship Softball Tournament features the Tidewater Area’s most competitive adult softball teams from the cities of Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Chesapeake. Teams qualify by winning or placing second in each city's top Spring 2019 league.

Gates to quads open at 6:30 pm for check-in and bat testing for all nights of play

Monday, July 29 – Men’s Division (Quarterfinals 7:15 pm, Semifinals 8:30 pm)
Tuesday, July 30 – Men’s Church Division (Semifinals 7:15 pm, Championship 8:30 pm)

Wednesday, July 31 – Coed Division (Quarterfinals 7:15 pm, Semifinals 8:30 pm)

Thursday, August 1
Friday,  August 2​ – Championship Games at 7:15 pm (Men’s ) and 8:30 pm (Coed) 

  • ​​Eligibility: Regular season roster. A player cannot be rostered to multiple teams in a division. In addition, a player cannot be rostered to a Men’s and a Men’s Church team. A player may be rostered to a Men’s team (open or church) and a coed team. 
  • ID’s: players must present valid photo identification. Examples of acceptable identification: current Driver’s License, Military ID, passport, and state-issued ID. 
  • Game Balls: Will be furnished by Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation. Males shall hit the 12” .52 core/300 compression balls and females hit the 11” .52 core/300 compression balls. 
  • Bats: must be ASA approved, age/gender-specific and not on the banned list. Bats to be utilized in play must be tested before each game and have an approved sticker attached (maximum of five bats per team per game). Once five bats have been approved, no additional bats will be tested. Team needs to arrive 45 minutes prior to game time to have bats tested. 
  • Rain Date: Thursday, 8/1 will be used a rain make-up date
  • ​Inclement Weather: call (757) 385-0455 after 3 p.m. for weather cancellations. Games halted in progress due to weather will resume from the point of interruption.
