Join us as we celebrate Virginia Beach's international sisterhood with Miyazaki City, Japan, at the annual Cherry Blossom Festival. This event offers the rich culture and beauty of Japanese music, martial arts, creative activities, and various demonstrations. Get comfortable and enjoy the beauty of one of our city's signature parks by bringing a blanket or lawn chair to watch the performances.

Calling kids of all ages! Experience the thrill of sitting behind the wheel of fascinating community vehicles including the Fire Department's Monster Truck, a police car, street sweeper, dump truck and more! Face painting, children's crafts and our DJ spinning tunes guarantees the fun! We are doing a "Low Sensory Hour" for the first hour of the event. This is an opportunity for families with children who are anxious by loud sounds and blinking lights to attend the event without those effects.​​

In partnership with the Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center, join us and bring your K-9 companion out for an afternoon of fun with live music, food trucks, “Doggie Dates”, and specialty vendors. Adult beverages will be available for purchase.​

​Rides, games and traditional state fair foods are all available at the Summer Carnival at Mount Trashmore Park. Located in the parking lot off Edwin Drive, the carnival is great for all ages and offers free admission and free parking. ​

Family Fishing ClinicFamily Fishing Clinic

Age 5-14 with parent or guardian | Help your child(ren)​ tackle the basics of angling Virginia's waters by attending this free family fishing clinic. Team up with experienced fishermen for guided instruction and beginning fishing skills. Fishing poles, tackle, and bait provided if needed. Lunch will be provided. Limited to the first 125 registered participants. Advance registration required.

Seatack Community DaySeatack Community Day

This fun, family event is free and open to the public and will include activities such as bounce houses, fitness demonstrations, vendors, games, dancing, rock wall climbing, pool activities, kid's crafts, music and more!  We'll also welcome community partners and health vendors who will be sharing some great information and demonstrations.

Kick off your shoes and join us for a beach concert in the sand​ with live music from ​Party Fins! Enjoy food trucks and plenty of dancing. ​Onsite parking is available and free after 5 pm. Parking is limited, so please carpool or rideshare if possible.​
