Summer Carnival | May 27 - June 21
May 27 - June 21 | Monday - Thursday: 5pm - 10pm; Friday & Saturday: 2pm - 9pm; Sunday: 2pm - 10pm | Mount Trashmore Park Rides, games and traditional state fair foods are all available at the Summer Carnival at Mount Trashmore Park. Located in the parking lot off Edwin Drive, the carnival is great for all ages and offers free admission and free parking. Beginning at 6pm on Friday and Saturday evenings, everyone under the age of 18 is required to be accompanied by an adult (21 or older) to enter the carnival. An ID will be required for proof of age. Adults must remain on-site at all times with minors. Anyone under 18 without an adult (21 or older) without an ID who is not accompanied with an adult will not be admitted after 6pm.

NRPA Family Health & Fitness Day | June 11
Join us at City View Park on Saturday, June 11 for a day dedicated to promoting the importance of parks and recreation in keeping communities healthy with fun, family-oriented activities in the park. Activities include a WERQ dance class, Family Fun walk/run, Zumba and family yoga! Make sure to bring water and a mat/towel!
Join Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation and AARP for FitLot Fun Day from 10 AM to 1 PM Saturday, June 18, at Williams Farm Park. The event will mark the official dedication of the FitLot™ Outdoor Fitness Park, part of AARP’s initiative to create an outdoor fitness park in every state. VBPR Fitness & Wellness staff will be doing demonstrations on how to use the FitLot™ exercise equipment, which can be adapted to meet a wide range of fitness levels and abilities. The event will also feature music, games and food to entertain the whole family. It is free and open to the public.

Double Elimination Tournament, games played to 15, win by 2. First-round and championship game will be best of 3 played to 11, win by 2. We will be raffling off prizes after each tournament. Must be present to receive prizes. Registration includes a free t-shirt.
Clean the Bay Day | June 4

A Chesapeake Bay Sponsored Event. Will be a combination of a hybrid event throughout the week leading up to the CTBD and in-person event Saturday, June 4 2022. Clean the Bay Day is a true Virginia Beach tradition and an annual opportunity for families, military installations, businesses, clubs, civic or church groups to come together for a common cause - clean water. Help the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in their mission to Save the Bay!

Enjoy a fun filled safety day riding your bicycles through a safety course, interact and be guided by our Virginia Beach Bike Patrol unit, have your bike inspected for safety issues. Learn proper road travel protocol, hand signals, crosswalk, railroad track etiquette, and safety. First 20 registered participants to receive free helmet and swag.

The Firefighter Challenge is making its long-awaited return to Mount Trashmore along with the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® US Trophy event for the Virginia Beach Festival of Champions! The event will also feature family-friendly activities, food trucks, beer tent, and a special concert by Celeste Kellogg put on by Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation. Don’t miss the action – all events are free and open to the public.

Show your love for planet earth by celebrating with VB Parks & Rec! Stop by Mount Trashmore for a fun-filled day full of exhibitors and vendors. Food trucks will be present, and there will be educational talks, hands-on experiences, a city of Virginia Beach employment recruitment booth, and informational displays all centered around the environment.
