Activity Center Leader

The activity center leader plans, leads and supervises age-appropriate activities for youth including arts and crafts, games, sports and special events.

Minimum requirements: applicants must be at least 21 years old and have some programmatic experience in the group care of children such as teacher substitute, coach, recreation program leader, church youth leader, scout leader, or child care provider, either in a paid or volunteer capacity. HS Diploma/GED

​Activity Center Assistant Leader​

The activity center assistant leader assists in the planning, leading and supervision of age-appropriate activities for youth including arts and crafts, games, sports and special events.

Minimum requirements: applicants must be at least 18 years old and have some programmatic experience in the group care of children such as teacher substitute, coach, recreation program leader, church youth leader, scout leader, or child care provider, either in a paid or volunteer capacity. HS Diploma/GED

 Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteen Program - Age 14 - 17

​Volunteer with Out-of-School Time Programs! Enrich the lives of children by engaging them through structured and supervised recreational, enrichment, and leisure activities in various elementary school and community recreation centers.

Duties include:
    • Assist staff in working with children in both large and small group environments.
    • Assist with daily programming, planning, and leading of age appropriate activities for children ages 5-12.  Activities could include, but not limited to, both indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, swimming, sports, special events, dance, drama, field trips, and other program areas.
    • Assist with the set up and break down of rooms and activities.
    • Assist with cleaning the program and storage areas, organizing shelves, sweeping, wiping down tables, and sanitizing equipment.
    • Assist with daily safety checks.
    • Assist staff in assigned program areas.
    • Complete weekly/monthly assigned tasks.
Qualifications: 
    • Must have an interest in youth based recreational programs.  
    • Must be comfortable working both outdoors and indoors.
    • Must be comfortable working with large and small group settings alongside the assistance of site staff.​
