*NEW* AARP FitLot at Williams Farm Park
Get ready for a new, outdoor fitness experience! The FitLot is a fitness park containing both moving and static gear that is great for strength, cardio, balance, and flexibility training. It is designed for all ages and abilities. This project is grand-funded in partnership with AARP and the national organization, FItLot Outdoor Fitness Parks. We are grateful for our partners' support in creating healthy opportunities for our community!

Get started on the right foot reaching your fitness and wellness goals with a free 45-minute informational session with a Fitness & Wellness staff member. They will  provide you with the basics of how to use the weight machines and cardio equipment, how to adjust your settings and weight, and discuss proper form when using the equipment. You will learn how to incorporate strength training and cardiovascular activities into your workout routine, as well as additional programs/services currently offered to help you meet your fitness & wellness goals.

  • Fitness Orientation: Free

  • Fitness Assessments - $25
    To reach your goals, you must know where you're starting from.  Fitness assessments are used to determine your current fitness level, training goals, and a strategy for improvement.  The fitness assessments are 60 minutes in length and are provided by our nationally accredited certified personal trainers.

 Small Group Training

Small Group Trainings have it all;  specialized, focused training that improves your workout and in an encouraging environment that keeps you motivated.  

Our nationally accredited personal trainers/instructors will lead the group through progressive programming and motivate them to reach their individual goals.
 
Small group trainings are 4, 6, or 8 week progressive fitness & wellness programs that will meet 1-2 times a week and will have approximately 3 to 12 group members.  Small Group Trainings are available for members and non-members to participate in.

Fitness & Wellness Outdoors

Our Fitness & Wellness classes take place during spring, summer, and fall in a unique outdoor setting at one of our beautiful parks in Virginia Beach.  Everyone, of all skill levels, are welcomed to attend. We invite you to find the class that best suits your fitness and wellness goals!  
 
Registration is required.  Please wear appropriate clothing.  In case of inclement weather, class may be canceled. Members and non-members are welcome to participate in all Fitness & Wellness Outdoor programming.

Mt. Trashmore Park (meet at the pavilion)

Taking the first step to getting fit is never easy, and with a new baby or young children, it can seem downright impossible.  Luckily we have a fitness program that will help moms take time for themselves and their health, while still caring for their kiddo.   Join us for a 60-minute workout in the park with your little one, that will include, cardio, strength and fun!  Newborns to four-year old's will join mom in some fun family fitness…Not to mention the added bonus of being at a park with other families for a built-in playdate ready to go right after class! This class is open to members and non-members. This Outdoor Small Group Training will meet every Tuesday at Mt. Trashmore Park, in front of the Pavilion by Parking Lot 2. Items to bring:  stroller, water, sun block, and mat (if you prefer), no additional equipment needed
