The Bike Buddies Program combines the installation of much-needed bike parking with the opportunity to memorialize an event, a loved one, or gain positive exposure for your organization or business. Sponsor a bike rack today at select locations along the Oceanfront Boardwalk or Mount Trashmore to commemorate your Virginia Beach experience!

Bike Buddies Overview

We are pleased to highlight that Phases I & II of the program have sold out with over 50 bike racks installed! The bike racks reflect the whimsical artform of a leaf in color and shape. 

The racks are powder-coated green steel for durability and stand just over 32-inches tall. The bike racks are installed in rows of five or ten.

Sponsorship Details & Cost

bike buddies_JandARacing.jpgThe cost to sponsor a bike rack is $1,350 each, but for a limited time the remaining racks to complete the set at Mt. Trashmore are available for $850 each. Sponsorship of a complete set of 5 bike racks in one location is discounted to $6,750 at the Oceanfront. Each rack includes a donor message space to designate 'Donated By', 'In Memory of', Business/Group Name, etc. Review Plaque Guidelines.

Please note: Bike racks are installed in groups of 5 to 10 racks. Installation of the racks occurs after the sponsorship of all five racks to complete a set.
