Candid Databases and Resources

Foundation Directory Online Professional (AVAILABLE IN LIBRARY ONLY)This comprehensive database provides access to information on grants and grant makers, allowing a grant seeker to do customized searches for their specific need. The database is continuously updated, offering the most accurate information on funders and their grants.

Grants to Individuals (AVAILABLE IN LIBRARY ONLY) A comprehensive database of foundations providing funding for students, researchers, artists, and other individual grant seekers.

Candid Learning – This website provides information and tools specifically designed to meet the needs of nonprofits and offers live and on-demand trainings, webinars, e-books, and other resources to improve fundraising, overall sustainability, grantmaking, and transparency. Note: Free registration is required to use some of the resources.

IssueLab – This website collects and shares knowledge from the social sector as a means to help them do their jobs better and to deepen the impact of their efforts. Research and reports are available on over 30 Issue Areas. Additionally, curated Special Collections allow for deep dives into an issue, a current event or strategy.

Philanthropy News Digest – This website contains a digest of philanthropy-related articles and features culled from print and electronic media outlets nationwide. It includes a list of recent, searchable and subject-sorted Requests for Proposals by large national funders. Register for free to receive daily alerts for news, jobs, and RFPs of interest to you, subscribe to newsletters, or to submit a job posting.
