Ancestry.com : Access to this resource has been temporarily expanded to library cardholders working remotely, courtesy of ProQuest and its partner Ancestry.

Free Audible  Audible continues to provide free access to youth materials from its collection of audible books during the pandemic. 

Booklist.  The American Library Association has made its Booklist and related materials free for the time being. This includes book recommendations, reviews and the like.

Foundation Directory Online: Trying to search for grants from home? You can now access the Foundation Directory Online from home through VBPL. 

Westlaw: Submit a request for access to this legal research tool using VBPL's Ask the Law Library link. Staff will contact you during office hours and provide you with confidential credentials.

WiFi Access:  With the help of local officials, schools, and libraries across Virginia, the Commonwealth Connect team and Virginia Tech have developed an interactive map of free, publicly available wifi hotspots that Virginians can access from a vehicle.
