Are you ready to go all in with your goals, challenges and dreams? Plus, have a little fun with your friends and family?

Virginia Beach Public Library (VBPL) can help!

Get in the game

VBPL’s November event calendar is full of gaming programs for all ages that will challenge you, give you opportunities to meet new people and have fun! This month, try:

Take the challenge home

You know VBPL has books - lots and lots of books! But we also have games – card games, board games, dice and roleplaying games that you can take home to play with friends and family. Are video games your thing? Our take-home collections include games from Xbox, Nintendo and PlayStation that will challenge your skills and keep you leveling up!

Give yourself a hand

If you’re looking to change careers or further your education, VBPL can help you achieve your goals! Career Coaching is available at Central Library for help with resumes, online job applications and more. Find live coaching and online resources to help with time management, financial literacy, job-matching and more with JobNow. Veterans can find assistance with benefits, build resumes and receive job coaching using VetNow. Interested in earning your high school diploma? Career Online High School is fully online, available 24/7, and free to Virginia Beach residents.

Make a difference

Let’s make VBPL’s annual Holiday Toy Drive the most successful yet! To help, simply drop off a new toy for children ages 5 and under in the decorated collection boxes at any VBPL branch*. Sponsored by our teen volunteers, this toy drive supports the Virginia Beach Department of Human Services and the families who rely on them. Thank you for making a child’s holiday a little merrier!

*Except for Great Neck Area Library, which is closed for renovations, and Wahab Public Law Library.

Lastly, it’s our turn

In this month of giving thanks, we want to say how grateful we are for you, our customers, and for the support of the Virginia Beach Library Foundation and the Friends of the Virginia Beach Public Library.
