Can you feel it? Warmer temperatures and longer days are here! Spring can be a time of growth, creating and setting new goals. Virginia Beach Public Library (VBPL) offers many opportunities to help you, your family and your community grow – and it all begins with your VBPL account! If you don't have one, apply online or stop by your local branch.
Growing your garden
Spending time outdoors, getting your hands dirty in the garden, and seeing new growth is so rewarding! We can help you every step of the way, starting with free Seed Libraries, located at Central, Princess Anne and Kempsville libraries. You'll find a variety of flower, herb and vegetable seeds to take home and plant in your own garden! Looking for more?
- Drop in for a Seed Q & A with the Virginia Beach Master Gardeners
- Come swap plants with others at Princess Anne Area Library's Spring Plant Swap on March 11
- Celebrate Seeds on March 18 at Central Library with a viewing of "Seed: The Untold Story," an award-winning documentary film about the importance of heirloom seeds.
Thanks to the Friends of the Virginia Beach Public Library for their ongoing support of the Seed Libraries.
