200 West (Price Street) Apartments Project-Based Voucher Waiting List

Waiting list application for intellectually or developmentally disabled households only.
​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Virginia Beach Housing & Neighborhood Preservation will accept pre-applications for the 200 West (Price Street) Apartments Project-Based Voucher Waiting List.  200 West (Price Street) Apartments is a new apartment complex under construction at 200 Price St., Virginia Beach, VA 23462. DHNP will provide project-based vouchers for 20 accessible units for disabled households. Several units are expected to be available to people from this waiting list beginning May 2019. To be eligible for the waiting list, applicants must have a referral from a disability advocacy group that supports individuals or families with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Eligibility 


Applicants will be considered eligible if they meet the following:

1. Annual household income does not exceed 50% of the area median family income as referenced below:

​2. Verification of the disability referral will be required at the time of waiting list selection.

Preference will be given to applicants that live or work in Virginia Beach. 

Pre-Application Instructions & Random Selection Process

Pre-Application Period: 

​The application process will be open indefinitely. 

​How to Access & Submit Application: ​

Applications will be accepted online only at www.waitlistcheck.com​. Persons without a computer may access one at their local library. 

Only one application per household will be accepted. If a household submits more than one application, only the first application received will be accepted. Applicants who make false statements in order to qualify will be removed from the waiting list. 

​Interested applicants who do not have an account with ​WaitListCheck will need to create an account. 

Instructions for creating a WaitListCheck account will be provided before submission of the pre-application.​

Interested applicants who h​ave an existing account with WaitListCheck can log in with their current User ID and password.

Random Selection Process
Submitting a pre-application does not guarantee placement on the waiting list. After the application period closes, all applicants will be assigned a random number. A lottery system will be used to select 250 applicants and determine the order of placement on the waiting list. These applicants will be screened in order for potential referral as vacancies become available.
