Affordable Rental Housing Apartments in Virginia Beach: The apartments listed are neither owned, operated nor managed by the City of Virginia Beach. They are listed as an alternative for those who need an apartment that rents at or below the fair market rent. Not all apartment sizes in each complex will be at or below fair market rent. These are not low rent units. You must meet the apartment's rental criteria for credit, income, rental history, etc. Call each apartment for prices, availability, qualifying criteria and the application process. 

Available Units that May Be Leased Using Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8): The units listed are owned and managed by private landlords and have passed rent reasonableness criteria. They may also be rented by individuals/families who do not participate in the Housing Choice Voucher Program. The listings are by bedroom size. Community Housing Partners (Seahaven)

DHNP has collaborated with Community Housing Partners to provide Project Based Assistance for 26 units in Virginia Beach. The units are 780 square feet, have 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. When a vacancy occurs, DHNP will select the next eligible person from its Waiting List, determine their eligibility and will refer the applicant to Community Housing Partners for screening and approval of occupancy.

Provides permanent housing in congregate settings (townhomes and single family homes) for people who are homeless and have disabilities. Many of their clients receive case management services through the Department of Human Services MH/SA program.
