Housing & Neighborhood Preservation ​provides day support services for homeless individuals seeking opportunities to advance their chances to obtain housing, education, employment or other services. The day support service center is located at 825 18th St. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. Day support services end at 3:30 p.m. For more information, please call the day support service center at (757) 385-5160.
Food Programs/Clothing/Medical/Transportation
PIN Ministry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that serves homeless people in Virginia Beach. Services offered include: food, clothing, hygiene supplies, living necessities, medical care, and shelter. Contact at 962-3567; 545 South Birdneck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23451.   
JCOC Dining Hall meals are prepared and served every weekday evening at 6 p.m. and every Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. Contact at 491-2846; 1053 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach, VA 23451.
Pot​ter​’s House is located at 1709 Pacific Avenue, across 18th street from Virginia Beach United Methodist Church. The parking lot and entrance are in the back of the building and accessed from 18th Street, directly behind Domino’s Pizza. Assistance is available for:
  • Sack Lunches
  • Food Orders
  • Rent  
  • Utilities: Electricity, Natural Gas, Water, Sewer, & Heating Oil
  • Birth Certificates - Domestic and Foreign
  • Personal Hygiene Items
  • Clothing Vouchers to Judeo-Christian Outreach Center's Thrift Store
  • Bicycles and Bicycle Repair (proof of minimum of two weeks employment required to obtain a bicycle) 
Potter's House is open on Tuesday and Thursday mornings; sack Lunches are served from 9:30 to noon; interviews for food orders and financial assistance are taken from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
Star of the Sea Catholic Church's Social Outreach Ministry offers a bag lunch, drink, and dessert to all that come. Fruits, vegetables, bread, and desserts donated by area grocery stores are sorted, cleaned and available to those in need. The food pantry and a limited amount of financial aid is available for prescription medication and for families facing eviction or cut-off notice on utilities. Volunteers make sandwiches, prepare fruits and vegetables, interview and pack groceries. Volunteers can work one day a week or one day a month.
