​​To ​help combat the spread of COVID-19, Housing & Neighborhood Preservation's office is closed to public visitors. Please call (757) 385-5750 or email HouseNP@vbgov.com for services.
  • Code Enforcement - If an immediate inspection of your property is necessary, please contact Code Enforcement at (757) 385-4421. Staff will review your case and determine how to proceed. To register a code complaint, use the online form or call Code Enforcement.
  • Rental Housing/Home Rehabilitation Programs - All previously scheduled in-person appointments/visits will be canceled, no in-person appointments/visits will be scheduled until further notice. For more information, please call (757) 385-5750.
  • Housing Resource Center - The Housing Resource Center will not accept walk-ins or visitors begin​ning Tuesday, March 17. People experiencing a housing crisis should call the Regional Housing Crisis Hotline at (757) 227-5932, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Referrals will be managed via telephone, not in person. Shelter services are at capacity and no new residents will be accepted until further notice. Day Services is also closed.
