1110 Elliott-PH-c London Bridge Vol.jpgF​ire station 3 was originally located on the corner of Great Neck Road and Virginia Beach Boulevard and was known as the London Bridge Volunteer Fire department.  The old station had a narrow alley as the entrance and is how the stations nickname “The Alley Cats” was created.  The London Bridge Fire Station was relocated to 600 Central Drive in the Oceana Industrial Park in 1990.  Fire Station 3 is a Multi-piece station that houses an Engine, Squad, Hazmat Truck and Antique ladder truckTrailer, Safety Officer, and the District Chiefs of Operations. Fire station 3 is also the home of our fire departments hazardous materials team.

Fire station 3 is also one of the two fire stations that house a Squad truck which handles special and technical rescues such as Vehicle extrication, Rope Station 3 circa 1990Rescue, Confined Space Emergencies, and many other emergencies that require specialized tools and equipment. When fire station 3 is fully staffed it has 30 personnel assigned between the 3 shifts
