Pursuant to section 46.2-336 of the Code of Virginia, the Chief Judge of the Virginia Beach Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court waived the ceremony requirement for newly licensed drivers to receive their driver's license. The Department of Motor Vehicles will mail licenses to new drivers.

The court encourages new drivers and their parents/guardians to view the video below that illustrates the responsibility and privilege of driving a motor vehicle.
