The annual holiday Parade at the Beach kicks off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, and will travel down Atlantic Avenue from 15th to 25th streets. Giant balloons, marching bands, lighted floats, equestrian units, fire trucks, performing dance groups, motorcycles and more join forces to present a dazzling and entertaining night of fun for all ages! Winter Holiday CrafTea (Dec. 7)

Winter wonderlands require wonderful wreaths, so why not make one of your own at the Lynnhaven Colonial Education Center (4409 Wishart Road)? With a dash of modern-day versatility, design floral wreath inserts that may be hung on their own, placed on tables or added to a fuller pine wreath. It wouldn't be the holidays without some spiced sweets and specially curated teas, so sip and learn about holiday tea traditions alongside the sights and smells of the season. Enjoy Family-Friendly Festivities at the Virginia Aquarium 's Holi-Rays (Dec. 16-17)

The Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center is transforming into a winter wonderland during Holi-Rays! Come dressed in your holiday best or festive pajamas for an evening of family fun Dec. 16 and 17 from 6-9 p.m. Meet Santa and Mrs. Claus in the workshop as they prepare presents with the elves, or wave hello as Saint Nick scuba dives under the sea. Help the grouchy Grump find his holiday spirit through the power of recycling and decorate an ornament using recycled material. Tickets are $25.95 (members receive a 50% off). 2023 Winter Wildlife Festival (multiple dates)

Registration for the 2023 Winter Wildlife Festival is open and slots are filling fast.
