Illustrations were chosen through Public Utilities’ annual water-themed art contest held earlier this year and show various ways Virginia Beach students in grades K through 5 help conserve water, prevent backflow contamination, and properly dispose of fats, oils and grease. This year, Public Utilities selected 37 illustrations to be featured in the 2020 Water Awareness Calendar.

Free copies of the calendar are available at all Virginia Beach public libraries and recreation centers while supplies last.

Inside each calendar is an entry form for the 2021 Water Awareness Calendar Contest. Entries are due Feb. 28, 2020. More information on next year’s contest can be found at VBgov.com/CalendarContest.
