The vaccination clinic at the Virginia Beach Convention Center is offering walk-up registration for patients who would like to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. However, those wishing to bypass the registration line should still schedule an appointment online if possible.

Though a limited number of same-day vaccinations will be available for people who walk-up to register, in order to guarantee vaccine availability, individuals are encouraged to schedule an appointment directly in the CDC’s Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS) by visiting https://register.vams.cdc.gov/?jurisdiction=VB

Walk-up registration at the Convention Center will be available between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the following days:

  • Monday, April 19
  • Wednesday, April 21
  • Thursday, April 22
The move to try walk-up registration was done in order to simplify the process for individuals who have been struggling with registration because of problems with technology or access to the Internet.

The slots for walk-up registrants will be available on a first come, first served basis, however, anyone who comes in to schedule an appointment will, at minimum, be scheduled for another clinic if a same-day vaccination is not available.

As a reminder, 16- and 17-year-olds are only eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No one may be vaccinated prior to their 16th birthday.
